Margaret Getman...
Mrs. Margaret Ann Getman, 82, Baxter Springs, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at a
Baxter Springs nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Getman was born Jan. 26, 1903, at West Mineral. She had lived in Baxter
Springs for the past 30 years, moving from Columbus. She was a member of Fell-
owship Baptist Church in Baxter Springs.
Her husband, Emel Getman died in October 1964.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Getman, Baxter Springs, Leo Getman, Ind-
ianapolis, Ind., Clyde Getman, Wheaton, Mo., and Lawrence Getman, Blue Springs,
Mo.; a daughter, Margie Croft, Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Fellowship Baptist Church.
The Rev. Wayne Williams officiated. Burial, under the direction of Derfelt's
Baxter Chapel, was in Baxter Springs Cemetery.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
