Gone But Not Forgotten
Another one of my favorites, Robin Scorpio (played by Kimberly McCullough) isn't dead but she's been off the show since 1998. (making cameos at the 2000 Nurses Ball) She was diagnosed with HIV in 1995. Her lover Stone passed on that same year.
Brenda Barrett, if there's a female character almost everyone loves, it would have to be her. Though her 2002-2003 return was truly short, it lifted the shows ratings and put the Soap back in the Top3 (it had been 5).

Though not one of my faves, she is with you guys.
One of my all time favorites, Chloe Morgan (played by Tava Smiley) was killed off in 2001 by Stavros. Some viewers didn't care, but I am still recovering from it (lol) Chloe was engaged to Jax, but he left her for Brenda
Quite possibly the biggest shocker of them all. Kristina Wagner's exit. Well she never got an exit, though she had been playing Felicia for close to 2 decades. Talk about a lack of respect for the veterans. Her last air date was Feb 13 2003. Though Nikolas isn't gone, his portrayer of 4 years Coltin Scott is. Following in his "lover's" departure. The show fired him, and quickly replaced him with Tyler Christoper the original Nik.
He can now be seen on CBS's Guiding Light as Tony.
I know Gia's not gone, but Marisa Ramirez sure is. She made Gia sooooo loveable, though mean. And was the best half of the Nik/Gia couple.
Rena Sofer left the role of Lois Cerullo Ashton in 1997 after playing the role for nearly 4 years, and made a brief comeback in 1998 but who here doesn't miss Lois' spunk and nurturing side? Especially Sofer's excellent acting skills...
The "originial" Emily, Amber Tamblyn, left the role after playing it for nearly 7 years. She brought such teen angst and realisn to the role. Since then she's been in the blockbuster horror hit The Ring and is the star of CBS's Joan of Arcadia.
Chad Brannon recently departed the role he had played for 4 years, that of Zander. He left the role in February and quickly cam back in March before leaving for the last time on March 24th 2004. He will truly be missed.
