In 1994, B. J. Zeng established the concepts of System Biological Engineering (Systems Bio-Engineering), Oviduct Bioreactor (transgenic avian) and System (Pattern) Genetics.
In 1999, B. J. Zeng, created the site of Genbrain Biosystem Network (biosystem analytics & artificial biosystem), and announced the 2001 First Conference on Biosystem Science and engineering (Nature, Oct. 1999).
