Primary Learning Outcomes
Students will demonstrate their drawing abilities by drawing a portrait of themselves and their families.

Additional Learning Outcomes
This is to serve as a pre-test to guide me in students' art abilities as well as academics. This is a starting point in which I can base their learning.

Procedures/Activities


Step:  1 Duration: 
Discuss with students before they begin shapes they may need to use for the face, colors they need for skin color (not black and white) and what subject they will use for their background. I will remind them to include their family at their favorite place.




Materials and Equipment
Teacher Materials- 12" x 18" white paper #2 pencil, erasers, crayons, markers

Assessment
Teacher observation via students' responses and students' art works.
Extension
Students who finish early will have the chance to do puzzles or free-time art paper available.
Remediation
Teacher one-on-one working should help those in need to get started. The majority of the class should be able to handle this project.
