Habitat Projects
Garden Seats and Benches
A garden bench is always welcome -  even though as a busy gardener you don't have time to sit for long.  A well placed bench offers a nice place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or just a place to sit and watch the birds and critters enjoying the habitat.
A tractor seat fits the human anatomy just right and makes for a very comfy seat!  We bought these seats on a trip to Quartzsite, AZ and my husband made the mounting for them.
Garden benches don't really have to cost anything.  My husband made this bench out of a large slab of wood that was salvaged from the fireplace mantel and two found log sections.
Here is another garden bench that didn't cost anything.  It is made from leftover 2x4 redwood.
When you have saved so much money by using salavaged material for most of your benches you can splurge a little.  This concrete bench is a nice place to watch the birds at the feeders.
