Makoto (Sambo) Oishi made his debut in Puerto Rico in 2002 and won gold almost immediately, winning the BWA World Weltherweight Title. Oishi started off in K-DOJO under the name Sambo Oishi was famous for many cradle wins using what was called the High School Boy. In 2003, Oishi won the K-METAL league and had ascended his rookie status, soon joining the Chiba Port Towers which lead to some hilarious situations with Oishi being the smallest in a big man group. Oishi's first taste of Kaientai Dojo gold came with his UWA Middleweight Title win in which he equaled Urano's 6 defense record for the most defenses in K-DOJO. After losing the tilte to Onryo, Oishi scrapped the Sambo name and went under his real name, Makoto. Oishi formed a team with another talented flyer, Shiori Asahi and the two opened many eyes with consistantly strong performances not only in K-DOJO, but in Dragon Gate too where Oishi even received a Brave Gate title shot against Naruki Doi. After going on a losing streak with Asahi and Asahi was injured, Oishi teamed with PSYCHO for a short duration but once Asahi returned, the two resumed their team and the team found a new spark which lead to them winning the STRONGEST-K tag belts (losing them later before winning the WEW Hardcore Tag Team Titles) and becoming the first team to beat Kengo Mashimo & KAZMA for over a year. Oishi finally broke rank, after being overlooked regularly by TAKA and the rest of the major GET wrestlers and formed a heel rebel group, Omega, which has resulted into a new mean streak for Oishi, as well as Asahi. However, while winning gold (and stealing) as a member of Omega, Oishi's form slumped and was almost kicked out of the group by MIYAWAKI before picking up some wins with his Omega Stick. A very talented young wrestler with some of the most fluid ariel attacks, Oishi impresses audiences day in and day out and has the potential to become a big star in the future.
