The idea of New Jersey Bound came to me on a drive home.  I was thinking about how I would like to start my own publishing company and start publishing authors in New Jersey.  Suddenly, while I was listening to Coheed & Cambria, it occurred to me that "New Jersey Bound" would be an awesome name for this publishing company.  Obviously, however, I cannot afford to start my own company.  I realized then, however, that I could afford to start my own website.

The intent of New Jersey Bound is to create a writing environment for authors (and aspiring authors) in New Jersey to come together and showcase/compare their work with other writers.

But, I'd like to do more than that.  The vision that I have of New Jersey Bound is a website where users can create their own profile and then begin uploading their own content, which could then be categorized into different sections such as: poetry, short stories, articles, and even photography and art.  Pretty much, I would like to see anything go up on the site other than reviews or other informative pieces of literature.  After users have uploaded their own content, I would then like to be able to go through select certain pieces to be featured on a "main page" which users would see when they first came to the website.  In addition to that, I would like users to be able to comment on each other's pieces as well as interact with one another on message boards.

I can't do this alone.  I really don't know very much about web design anymore, so it would be pointless for me to try and individually post each piece.  I need someone who is experienced with CGI/perl, and it would be great if someone could help me out with graphic designs (the image to the left of this took me a good five minutes to make; and I bet anyone else could have made it in, like, 29 seconds).  I would also like to see if anyone else is genuinely interested in this.  As in, does anyone else think that this is a good idea?  And would you be interested?

If you got to this page, you probably already know me.  So, contact me somehow.  If not, email me on my myspace account because I don't want to post my email address here.  Also, for those concerned, no, the actual website will not be hosted on geocities.  Geocities is free and I know how to use it.  So, that's why this is on geocities right now.

Thanks Everyone!
