Two emeralds and a porcelain vase
Encased in glass
And lit with a white torch

Haloed

A burning star or a crimson wildfire
Reflected in a silent waterfall
That flows down her neck, her shoulders
Mapping her arms
Her hands

Singing

Her song, bathed in milk
Loved like the child
Passionately solving his riddle
Read on a candy wrapper
Blown away in a summers breeze
Flitting down the pavement

Blood-red paint, applied to her palette
Brushed by the hand
That encouraged,
That provoked the song
Inside my heart and mind this day
Inside my heart and mind forever
