Ravens Go Nude For a Good Cause....

The female community in Gladesville has been sent into a tizz, after the press release earlier this week announced the Ravens Premier League would be stripping down for the camera in an attempt to raise funds for Giant Steps, who look after autistic children in Gladesville.

The Ravens Men of Premier League Calendar, which is set for release in July, is hoping to attract local businesses willing to fork out $200 to sponsor a month of the calendar. The Ravens squad is teeming with very unattractive men, giving the photographers and stylists little to work with, but with the aid of photo-shop the calendar should turn out to be an absolute cracker.

 Pre-Season Begins....

After a few involuntary Tuesday night sessions at Meadowbank, the boys returned to the Stade De Peel training facility so that coach Gio and Jackson could get a look at some of the new players and some of the older players, most of which were still hungover from the chaos in Cairns

A solid turnout of 23 were put through their paces on a balmy 35 degree day and after 10 minutes of playing on a sandy Peel Park pitch, most of the boys were struggling. It was a good hit out nonetheless and no doubt the pain of further fitness training to come would have registered in some of the more intelligent minds.

A bbq and beers were put on afterwards, which gives you an indication as to why so many players turned up for the run, and it was a good chance for new recruits Tom Cunningham, Saint Luksic and Julian Miller to have a chat with the rest of the team.

Pre-Season training will continue on Tuesday nights at Meadowbank from 6.45pm.
