A new technology. A new medium appears, and the artist usually enlarges the use of the technology...deviates...I think deviation of technology. You have to deviate. I call that a kind of art paramedia. The manufacturers always force us to use a product their way. A medium always has some kind of telos, however, people occasionally find a new way to deviate from the original purpose of the medium and develop a totally new field. (Yasunao Tone)
