This page contains tools for properly servicing the 3300. Always refer to your manufacturer's service manual when performing any work on the engine. These tools are presented as reference only. Use a reliable torque wrench to tighten all fasteners. This will prevent damaging the components and the threads. All fasteners and threaded holes should be clean and lightly lubricated with oil unless noted otherwise by your service manual. Dry or dirty threads produce friction which prevents accurate torque measurement. The 3300 engine contains many fasteners dimensioned in the metric system. These parts are very close in dimension to SAE fasteners. It is important during any maintenance procedure that replacement fasteners have the same measurements as those removed. Mismatched fasteners can result in damage or malfunction. Also included in this page are tools for decoding your Vehicle Identification Number, and a full list of OBD I trouble codes. |
