(How to read the prices: $1.21 is read as one-twenty-one; $0.82 is read as eight-two.)
I offer to you
A bargain.
My childhood memories for $1.84,
My infant photos for seven cents more.
My first roller skates at $.72,
My first baby tooth that came out at the zoo.
I offer to you
A bargain.
My favorite stuffed teddy from age 5 to 9
At $1.21, no, $.80 is fine.
My dead puppy’s leash for just $1.42,
With my cat’s tag, a discount, I’ll give it to you.
I offer to you
A bargain.
My first homemade video for $.20 a tape,
My trick-or-treat Superman shirt and the cape.
Sister’s first ballet shoes, $1.63,
Our initials etched into the bark of a tree.
I offer to you
A bargain.
The memories, sentimental values, priceless.
But I’d rather have the fifty cents.
