To Save a Dream
By Gordon Mei
July 4, 2004, age 18

To save a dream
From the depths of eternal oblivion
The moment I awake,
Is like trying to paint the sun
Falling behind the horizon of the sunset sky.

Whether I recall the part of my dream by ink
Or by tongue,
I must be quick,
For time is tirelessly against me.

But halfway through the part about the castles
And the white Pegasus,
I forgot.
I lost my dream.
And this fault I see as yours
Thanks to your rattling of the morning tea cup.
