Once Upon a Tofu Christmas Day
By Gordon Mei
December 3, 2000, age 15

It's that time of the year,
Or at least it is near,
When my family and friends rendezvous.

They'd come from far places,
With smiles on their faces,
And then we'd all munch on tofu.

That disgusting white jello?
And it sort of looks yellow,
So how can you eat such a thing?

You're supposed to eat turkey,
Or at least some beef jerkey,
But no, it's that tofu you bring.

But tofu is healthy,
For poor or the wealthy,
No calories, no fat, nothing more.

But the 'ol nasty taste,
Makes you leave in a haste,
And puke on your dining room floor.
