At the end of the 1980's, Sierra released a DOS game that became the best-selling "Laura Bow: The Colonel's Bequest". Soon after this hit, Sierra decided to create a sequel to this game and bring Laura Bow back on the scene. It was called "Laura Bow II: The Dagger of Amon Ra".

In this sequel, you are once again Laura Bow, who is a female detective from New Orleans taking a theft case involving a mysterious, invaluable Egyptian artifact - a gold dagger. The Dagger of Amon Ra. Throughout the game, you meet many different characters, some of whom are willing to help you while others seem to try to obstruct your detective work. And then there are those who are innocent bystanders in this dangerous conspiracy. But if you ask the right characters about the right things, you can get useful information. During the game, you can find objects, some of which are harder to find than others, that you can put in your purse. It's amazing what you can fit in that dinky purse of yours in this game. Curiosity can kill the cat though. Fatal traps lie ahead in the game.

Early in the game, you will begin in a fund-raiser party in a museum. People begin to mysteriously die all around you. You may be the next victim. Can you catch the thief and survive to report the story? You'll have to find out by playing the game.
