SimFarm - The Reference

You own a plot of good farmland. Do you want a small family farm--or an agricultural profit center? Do you want to produce food for the local town--or feed the world's hungry masses? Do you use the latest chemical fertilizers and pesticides--or run an "organic" farm? It's up to you. Plow your fields, sow your seeds, harvest your crops and sell them at market. Easy? Sure, except for soil depletion, crop rotation, changing markets and diminishing farmland--not to mention pests, droughts, dust storms and other fun disasters.

    Hints

    Which Livestock Should I Choose?
    • Cow:
      • Pros: Midrange cost, reproduces faster then the horse
      • Cons: Eats a lot (1/4 bail per month)
    • Horse:
      • Pros: Expensive, which means you can make a lot of money by breeding
      • Cons: Eats as much as the cow, reproduces slowly (5 years), expensive.
    • Pig:
      • Pros: Lower price, reproduces faster than cow
      • Cons: Costs more than sheep, but that means you can make more by breeding
    • Sheep:
      • Pros: Dirt cheap, eats little, reproduces fast.
      • Cons: Low price means lower breeding value.

How to Fly the Crop Duster (Airplane)
Use these keys to control the plane. It can be a bit hard to control the plane, but you'll get the hang of it.

  • Page Up (Pg Up)
  • Page Down (Pg Dn)
  • Home
  • End
One of these keys is used for landing, and this means landing anywhere. So when you decide to land your plane, maybe when it's running low on fuel, then you should land your plane on your runway, unless you don't mind crashlanding your plane in the middle of the forest.
