Duck, Suzi and Cow

Once there lived a cow.
Cow was a duck.
Cow lived on a pond in the reeds somewhere.

Once there was a duck.
Duck was a girl.
Duck lived in an apartment in the city.

Once there was a Suzi.
Suzi was a cow.
Suzi lived on a farm at the edge of town.

Now, this arrangement may seem slightly weird.

The reason was that the One Namer was currently going through some very personal problems, and had trouble in naming particular animals. A goddess named LeiLa was helping him through his time of helplessness and vulnerability.

One of LeiLa's disciples saw this trouble with Duck, Suzi and Cow. She decided to help.

So the disciple (whose name was Meeya) took a magic wand and headed to heal the first person.

Meeya arrived at Duck's apartment in the city.
Meeya crossed the street.
Meeya got run over by a truck.

But it's not over yet. The wand got splatted, and magic dust came flying out.

Suddenly Duck, Suzi and Cow found themselves united on a farm, due to some ironic, strange, fateful work of the wand.

"What am I doing here?" Duck wondered.
"What am I doing here?" Cow wondered.
"What are you doing here?" Suzi wondered. "Get off my stinkin' grass! I'm eating!"

Duck and Cow got off the grass. "Hmmph," said Suzi. "So what brings you here?"

"I dunno," said Cow. "One minute I'm in my pond, and then I'm on a farm!"

"Me, too," said Duck. "I miss my city."

"What are your names?" asked Suzi.

"Duck," said Duck.

"Cow," said Cow.

"I'm Suzi," said Suzi.

They all stood, letting this sink in.

"So, how are you doing?" asked Suzi.

"Hungry," said Cow.

Just then LeiLa the goddess appeared. "Duck, Suzi, Cow!" she said. "All your names are wrong! Duck, you're Suzi, Suzi, you're Cow, and Cow, you're Duck!"

They were very confused.

"Wait, so my name isn't Duck?" asked Duck.

"No."

"So what if my name isn't right?" Cow asked. "I like it."

"How dare you assume our names are to suit our beings, rather than our characteristics and our dreams?!?" Suzi thundered.

"Prejudice! Prejudice!" Duck yelled.

"Throw her in jail!" Cow shouted.

So LeiLa was thrown in jail for her prejudice and name bias. As for Duck, Suzi and Cow, they formed the Anti-Name Bias Organization (ANBO), helped thousands of name prejudice victims from around the world, made millions and lived happily ever after.
