What We Believe

We are celebrating our 61st anniversary this year. What began as a summer revival, in 1940, by way of tent, has grown into a strong church that has a loving heart for God and a desire to reach this community.

The purpose of the Gospel Tabernacle was and still is to preach the essential truth of the scriptures and to promote Christian love and fellowship among Godly people.

We proudly hold to a Wesley-Arminian persuasion of doctrine. We believe:

1) That we humans are fallen and depraved creatures. That there is nothing in ourselves that can lift us from this condition

2) That salvation, regeneration, sanctification and redemption are by grace through faith in the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

3) That entire sanctification is a second work of grace that cleanses the heart from inbred sin.

4) That our eternal security is conditional upon our continuing to walk in faith and obedience to Jesus Christ our Lord

5) That the second coming of Jesus Christ is to be personal and imminent.
