Cornbread

1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup oil

Preheat oven to 425. Combine dry ingredients. Add milk, egg & oil. Beat until smooth. Bake in greased pan for 20 to 25 minutes. 15 to 20 minutes for muffins.

Quick Bow-Knot Garlic Rolls

1 can biscuits
1 egg, slightly beaten
garlic salt

Preheat oven to 425. Grease cookie sheet. Roll each biscuit into 7 inch stick. Tie each in a loose knot and place on cookie sheet. Brush with egg, sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Jane's Happy Bread

1 cup finely chopped bell pepper
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped chives (fresh)
1/2 pound bacon fried. Don't overcook!
1/4 pound of grated Parmesan Cheese
2 sticks of butter or margarine
3 cans of biscuits cut into quarters

Saute bell pepper, onion and chives in two sticks of butter. Mix bacon (cut into 1 inch pieces), cheese and biscuits. Add vegetables and mix. Place all in bundt pan. It pays to press mixture into pan with your fingers to get out any empty spaces.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

Note: There are so many possibilities here. You could add jalapeno, diced ham instead of bacon....You might also substitute 3 cans of croissants instead of the biscuits.
