You open the book and start reading
In the beginning, the Greenwich Lodging House was owned by a Mr. Roger Crawford Sr. who lived where me room was. He lived here with his son, Roger Crawford Jr.
Horatio and Arnaldo came to America and met Roger Jr. At the time, Roger and Roger lived at the LH by themselves and haven't opened it yet. They were the first newsboys to live there.
When I came to America, I met Arnaldo and Horatio Ramone, or Pharoh and Blue. They invited me to stay with them here, at Greenwich. I was the first newsgirl at Greenwich.
After I had lived at Greenwich for about a year, Roger Sr. had to move back to Boston (where he was born) for financial reasons. Roger Jr. went with him, even though her was 19 at the time.
Right before they left, however, the boys and I met Random and Cookie. They came to live with us a few weeks later.
Once the Crawford's left, us girls took over the LH and became leaders of Greenwich. After that, more girls and guys joined.
