Background:


Under the command of Commander Thomas Nieran, the “Knights of Solomon” have come to believe that the faster you can react, the more effective you will be, and therefore the more victories one would achieve. This strategy can be seen in the custom construction of their mobile suits. While at a quick glance they appear no different then their normal counterparts, at a more technical level, there mobile suits have about as much armour as an average MS, but more powerful engines and manoeuvring thrusters. The squad earned their nickname "The Knights of Solomon" due to the squadron logo of a sword & shield and the fact that they where originally stationed out of the Solomon Sea. However, with the fall of Solomon at the hands of the Federation shortly after the group had been formed, they where forced to relocate from base to base for the remainder of the war. From these new locations the Knights would venture throughout the Earth Sphere, acting independently from the rest of Zeon’s space forces.

The MS-14NC Gelgoog Nieran Custom is a variation of the MS-14KC Gelgoog Knight Custom witch was also used by the Knights. This one of a kind suit was constructed exclusively for the famed newtype Commander Thomas Nieran the leader of the “Knights of Solomon”, and it features revolutionary hidden thrusters that enable it to achieve speeds greater than most other MS created during the One Year War. Designed to resemble the standard MS-14KC model Gelgoog used by the Knights, to prevent Federal forces from picking him out as the Knight’s commander, and the commander has been known to hold back it’s full potential and function on a level equivalent to the other Gelgoogs. As a result, his enemies have always been taken by surprise when he decides to take them seriously and unleashes his full fury. To allow Nieran better use of his Newtype abilities the Gelgoog Nieran Custom was also equipped with a Psycommu System similar to the one equipped in the MSN-02 Zeong. However, this new addition was added late in the design of the suit and as a result greatly complicated the suits internal wiring. Nieran’s fellow knights know about this flaw and have been known to joke that the Gelgoog Nieran Custom is widely feared by both Federation pilots and Zeon mechanics.
