| It's not often you hear of glam bands coming out of Switzerland, but lo and behold, look what we have here: A five piece mixed sex act going by the name of GUTTER QUEENS. Most notable name in the quintet is Chris Lakriz, on bass, also a member of the German glam band, Hollywood Teasze. Not quite sure how he manages to be in a Swiss band as well as a German band but... The band originally formed in 1992 under the name "Juvenile Crime". In fact, one of the members still associates with that old band moniker, calling himself Jim Juvenile. In 1997 the band released a CD, "Born to be Cheap", although it was after this recording that Chris Lakriz, and also Sarah Mephista Memphis (rhythm guitarist) and Elvira Tarantella (drummer), joined the band. Elvira, one-time member of the all-girl band Ananda's Decadenz, only recently joined the camp im May 1999. No. 22, November 1999 (UK) |
