| The GUTTER QUEENS formed in spring '92 in no other than Switzerland which makes a refreshing change! The band have had two releases, a demo tape ROCKAHOLE under their previous name JUVENILE CRIME and in fall '97 a CD demo titled BORN TO BE CHEAP which was a complete sell out! Both the tape and the CD got very positive media by the media and a very big compliment was paid to the band when there were compared to the New York Dolls, need I carry on any more, you know they're gonna be good! In august this year the band recorded four songs at Artag Studio in Zurich however, their first official release will be two 7" singles on Sheep Records, the first of which will be released in October, songs included: A-Side: TEENAGE WASTELAND. B-Side: GET GLAMED WITH ROCK'N'ROLL. The second single with HOT IN HOLLYWOOD and SUFFRAGETTE CITY (Bowie cover) will be released early 2001. The GUTTER QUEENS have considerable interest from management and bookers worldwide. The band have recently booked to tour Italy in February / March 2001 you then can see the Glam Goddesses around Sweden and Germany. Even though the GUTTER QUEENS are "newcomers" they still manage to attract some very considerable crowds like at the Auditorium Flog in Firenze (Italy) when over 1'500 crazy fans turned up to see the band perform their set! The GUTTER QUEENS are: * Jim Juvenile: Wild and furious lead singer, once seen perform NEVER forgotten! * Zygi The Wild One: The wild lead guitaris, a tough rocker in everyday life, and a mean prom queen on the stage. * Sarah Mephïsta Memphïs: Joined in '99 she's a breath taking beauty, with a rhythm guitar that she's not afraid to use... * Elvira Tarantella: Grabbed the sticks in '99 and has a reputation of being "Wonder Woman on Drumz". * Calmo Sideburn: Heart robbing bass player, he's the one teenagers save their teddy bears for! Our verdict here at the Orphanage! I've listened to the GUTTER QUEENS and all I can say is that you're in for a real treat, powerful, loud and full of the attitude that makes Rock'n'Roll great. These 'QUEENZ are gonna blow ya away! Definitely the New York Dollz of the millennium, so look out kiddiez, they're gonna take your glammy soulz... The GUTTER QUEENS are dressed to kill and they're gonna blast you with sleazy Glam Rock, they're stocked up with hairspray and make-up and they're ready to conquer the world...
