New:
The new T5, the successor of the T4 Eurovan will be introduced
for sale ( in Europe) by 2002 - 2004.
It will be available with three different drivetrain versions.
Rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive.
Body styles: panel van, minibus, double cab, caravelle, multivan,
and pickup truck.
In team work with Porsche, VW will also build an off-road capable
multi-purpose version, called “Colorado” and “Cayenne”.
Most offered engine will be the 5 cylinder diesel in the following
versions:
2.5 liter 90 Hp 310 Nm          2.5 liter 115 Hp 340 Nm
2.5 liter 150 Hp 380 Nm        2.5 liter 185 Hp 420 Nm
Three gasoline engines will be available:
2.0 liter 115 Hp 170 Nm        2.3 liter V 5 170 Hp 225 Nm
2.5 liter V 6 204 Hp 268 Nm
In addition, a new design 5 speed will be available with all power plants.
