yitzhak rabin - the rabin-line - leader of the peaceprocess

the peaceprocess : yitzhak rabin.

yitzhak rabin (1922 - 1995) the peacemaker.

1992 rabin became the leader af the israelic labour party. by the election in june 1992 the labour party won and rabin became primeminister.

rabin startet negotiations in oslo with the palstiniens. rabin work closely together with peres and arafat, and on the 20. august 1993 they could enter an agreement in oslo.

13. september 1993 the agreement could be signed in the white house with bill clinton, and in 1994 rabin, peres and arafat got the nobel peaceprize.

yitzhak rabin supported non-violence and the peaceprocess moved forward step by step.

the 4. november 1995 rabin was murdered, when he left a peacemeeting with the motto - yes to peace, no to violence -. he was murdered by an israelic rightwing fanatic.

since that the peaceprocess more or less have stood still, and suffered several setbacks. especially after the non-violence - tactic, was replaced by a militant line by sharon.

after that sharon has taken over as primeminister, he has ruined the whole peaceprocess with his tancs. he ha been accused og warcrimes, and should never have been a part of israelic democraty after that. by the next election, sharon should have been trashed by the israelic voters.

a more moderat man ought to take over, as for instans peres, who particepated in oslo. so one again can get the peaceprocess startet. in cooperation with the palestinian democratic leader arafat.
