'Retro Project'. Works on this project were stopped, because meanwhile I started another MC6802 project HF-12252 on chinese universal PCB. Such strategy is better (TPD12239 is homemade manuallly painted PCB not ended yet, it was drilled but not painted yet) because vast modifications in the fly are possible.
This means I will acomplish this project only when I gather experiences with HF-12252. Currently 6802, PIA 6821 and ROM are placed on PCB but I have more ICs for that system:
- MC6802 - CPU
- MC6821 - PIA (PROGRAMMABLE I/O PORTS)
- MC6840 - TIMER
- MC6850 - UART
Nowadays all these devices are integratad into one chip.
Some History...
6802 was developed by MOTOROLA in 1976 and it is really ancient piece of CPU technology... Datecodes on my 6802s says it was made in 1984.
