Low frequency XTALS cannot oscillate in low impedance circuits like classical bipolar transistor Colpitts oscillator of similiar. So good idea is CMOS gates oscillator. Here 4011 CMOS was used but all other gates or inventers can be used.
This generator was used for various experiments and ad-hoc projects, for example for TRX BARTEK for 32 kHz band.
