Project Info

Another device which failed and became my electronic project. This organiser worked fine in 1990s but after 20 years LCD start loosing pixels. So I decided to experiment with it and I burned microprocessor. But thats not big problem because it was almost for sure mask ROM type. It was die type uC, so it is impossible to say what was that. Contrary to this keyboard is very nice and I had some plans to reuse it with my own uC as keyboard controller and UART output. It is technically difficult (a lack of room in very flat case) but possible I think with TSSOP, SOP or similiar case.

Update: I mechanically removed all ICs and paths from second side of PCB, so now I can start process of construction my own circuit. Probably LCD can be replaced with newer TFT display, so I can make my own device. First, I must reverse engineering keyboard matrix which is 70 keys.
