Game
#1 vs. Hoover 43 – 72 Loss
We started very
scared and slow in the first quarter. We adjusted very well to out score them in
the second quarter. The second half we ran out of gas and did not control tempo
very well. Sophomore Justin Rutherford played very strong getting 10 points and
12 rebounds for his first varsity double-double in his first game. Tyler Hajosy
had a off night shooting but still put in 20 points. Bobby Gange showed that he
will be a defensive force in the paint. Next game against Escondido.

Game #2 vs.
Escondido 46 –
58 Loss
We played a
terrible first half. We did not adjust to their shooters. That led to a 17
point deficit at halftime. We played much better in the Second half. Players
made the proper adjustments . Some missed shots at the end led to our defeat.
But a very good second half performance as a team.

Game #3 vs.
Montgomery 64 – 43 Win
The return of
the football players showed a marked improvement in our play. Tyler Barbour showed
the aggressiveness and confidence of a four year starter. His penetration led
to easy baskets for Bobby Gange and open shots for Tyler Hajosy. Our man
defense did a better job of rotating into help.
