Remained there until the end of hostilities 2nd Maizuru 10/15-'41 Formed at Maizuru and assigned to 4th Fleet, Attached 12/10-'41 Wake Island, 1st attempt 12/22-'41 Wake Island, 2nd attempt 1/24-'42 "R" Operation, Rabaul 2/ 1-'42 Although, deactivated this date, this unit has been identified in the "SR" Operation, March 8, 1942 3rd Maizuru 5/ 1-'42 Formed at Maizuru and assigned to Combined Fleet. 6/ 7-'42 Occupation of Kiska 7/ 1-'42 Deactivated at Kiska, became 5th Guard Unit 4th Maizuru 9/ 5-'42 Formed at Maizuru and posted to the Combined Fleet and a component of the 8th Combined SNLF 10/ 6-'42 Landed on Guadalcanal (Pg 330 Frank) 3/ 1-'43 Withdrawn and assigned to Yokosuka Naval District
