Ultramarine Conspiracy

Brothers my continuing investigations on the anomalies present in the histories of the Adeptus Astartes Chapter of the Ultramarines have revealed serious cause for alarm.

Robute Gulliman, Primarch of the Legion may have been responsible for the greatest conspiracy perpetuated on the Empire of Man. It has been well known that Gulliman was gifted with the incredible ability of organization and foresight. This makes it so unbelievable that this “defender” of mankind was then conspicuously absent during the great rebellion of Horus. Every Legion of the Astartes were present, participating in the galaxy spanning war and suffering immense casualties, yet the Ultramarines were unscathed.

The explanation of Gulliman that they were unaware of the rebellion just seems preposterous when his combat record before the heresy shows that the Ultramarines were at the fore-front of the great crusades always present wherever conflict was. This leads us to the conclusion that Gulliman knew of the rebellion, yet chose not to participate.

Could Gulliman have been turned by Horus and convinced to stay out of the confict, or could his motives have been more sinister? It is a well-documented fact that the remaining Loyal Astarte Legions were all but decimated during the rebellion. It is also documented that Gulliman was present during the conclave after the Great War. He was also the author of the codex which restructured the remaining Legions into smaller chapters. Is it then coincidence that the unscathed Ultramarine Legion of Space marines, was then the progenitor of the majority of second founding chapters?

Subsequent foundings have also used the Ultramarine geneseed in preference to others. This means that the majority of Adeptus Astartes have the geneseed of Gulliman and call him "father".

Reports on the death of Gulliman are vague and unsubstantiated, all that is known is that his body lies in stasis in the Ultramarine homeworld of Macragge. Could he just be lying in wait for the day when his sons control the galaxy? Could this have been the grand plan of Gulliman?

My Brothers I suggest that more resources be spent on the resolution of this matter.
