Official 1968/1969 colors were red, lavander, orange, gold, lime, green, blue, blue fog, brown and purple. However, many of these colors are recognized today by different names. In addition, there were additional colors offered at this time that were not recorded in the Collector's Catalog. 2 Some early versions of the `36 Coupe had light colored interiors and additional detail on the back cushion of the rumble seat lid. On subsequent castings, this extra detail was removed, and the interior was always molded in black to match the black-painted back cushion of the rumble seat lid. 3 These Grand Prix cars were also available in enamel colors that matched those of the real cars. the Lola and Brabham were available in dark green, the McLaren in orange, the Chapparal in white and the Ford in cranberry red. The orange enamel McLaren was primarily a set car, although it was available in blister pack. The other cars were readily available in their enamel schemes. 4 There also was a gold plated version that was readily available. 5 The Rolls was largely available in gray enamel. |
