1 Not all cars had official series designations in 1971. There were some models that were classified internally yet not publically documented. Those classifications are specified here.
2 The cars were offered in assorted transparent and translucent colors over nickel plating, known as Spectraflame. An official roster of colors was not published in 1971.
3 The Snake and Mongoose Rail Dragsters were available in a special two-car blister pack, as well as the Snake & Mongoose Wild Wheelie Set.
4 The "bt" designates Bicycle Tires. These were either molded in clear or black plastic, with the spokes highlighted in chrome. On the clear wheels, the tires were painted black.
5 Special Delivery was painted only in Blue Spectraflame, yet the tolerance of the paint varied from batch to batch as far as intensity of the pigment is concerned.
6 Snorkel also was available in White Enamel.
