FEAR ME � Type:Summoning

Creates multiple holographic images of the caster...or target. These images mirror everything save the powers, tangibility, and lifeforce of the target.

HALITOSIS �� Type: Summoning

Summons a searing and stinking gale of wind that engulfs the target. All oxygen is extinguished within the wind while the spell is in action... And the heat will melt flesh. This spell only lasts for a few moments, but that's more than enough!

Casting time � 1 hour. Lynchpins � 10 minutes - Magic of shadow, target, dispel word, type of smell (optional, default is rotting eggs and maggot-infested carp), intensity of heat


CAMOFLAUGE � Type: Invasive, Summoning

Used mainly on the caster, this spell bends light around the intended target, mimicking the direct background. This is only effective if the target remains still, as any movement would cause a rippling effect and thus draw attention to theirhiding spot.

FEARSOME MOOD LIGHTING � Type: Summoning

Causes all sources of light within a specified radius to suddenly go out.

Casting time � 30 minutes. Lynchpins: 5 minutes - Magic of shadow, specified radius (+2 min for every foot), hand motions, duration (opt.), dispel word


ANITDOTE � Type: Summoning

This removes impurities and foreign agents from a liquid. It has no effect on foods, nor does it change the essential properties of the primary liquid. Wine will still intoxicate, and excess wine will kill. Poison, if subjected to this, becomes pure poison.

FLUSH OF HEALTH � Type: Summoning

This spell causes the target's body to be flushed of contaminents and removes the states such foreign contaminents cause. In short, it removes toxins and intoxicants and makes the target feel as good as ever.

Casting time � 1 hour. Lynchpins:10 minutes - Name of Shadow, Name of Subject, Name of Subject's Current Shadow Location, Name of subject's location in Shadow.


CURSE OF IMPOTENCE � type: Summoning

The spell only works on males. Its primary effect is to reduce bloodflow in a specific region of the body. Rather maddening...but happily effective!

Casting time: 1 hour. Lynchpins � 10 minutes - Name of person, Name of Shadow, Name of person's location in shadow, Dispel word.


SPIDER'S THREAD � Type: Summoning

Indicates the best path between two points in the same Shadow. Useful for navigating labyrinths, etc. Can be set for the fastest or safest route (although the route specified will always be one the subject can traverse). Can manifest as either a psychic tugging or as a glowing thread of magical energy others can see.

Casting time � 30 minutes. Lynchpins: 5 minutes Magic of Shadow, Name/Description of Subject, Destination, Speed vs Safety (Optional; default is safest path.), Manifestation (Optional; default is a psychic tugging perceptible only to the subject.).


PRISMATIC DEFLECTION � Type: Defensive

A magical shield, fixed in place, is cast as a barrier. The basic spell works against physical attacks, plus fire, heat, lightning, cold, wind, rain and harsh weather. A determined individual, of Amber strength or better, or any largish moving object (a bulldozer, or a dragon) will be able to penetrate the barrier. Will last for a maximum of two hours in Amber.

Casting time � 1 hour. Lynchpins � 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Placement of Shield, Dimensions of Shield (Optional, will be square unless otherwise defined), Limits of Effectiveness (names the forces it blocks, Optional), Duration (Optional), Dispel Word (Optional)


OPEN SESAME � type: Summoning

Removes barriers. Will unlock, unbar and open doors, untie ropes, unshackle manacles, etc.

CIRCE'S MIRROR � type: Summoning/Invasive

This spell, much like the spell of the legendary witch, changes a man into the beast he most resembles in his heart. Remains in effect for as long as the target is in the same shadow as the caster..

ABULZAH?! � Type: Summoning/Invasive

This spell curses the victim withAphasia, a rare neurological disease that affects thespeech centers of the mind and makes all speech unintelligible.

Casting Time � 1 hour. Lynchpins � 10 minutes - Name of person, Name of Shadow, Name of person's location in shadow, Dispel word.


SPF INFINITY � Type: Defensive

Protects the target from the effects of local weather conditions (sunburn, wind chill, etc.). Will not protect against weather used as a direct attack. Lasts indefinitely unless cancelled, but crossing Shadow boundaries will cause it to end.

Casting time � 1 hour. Lynchpins � 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Name/Description of Target, Duration (optional), Dispel Word (optional)


DEATH MARK � Type: Summoning/Invasive

This spell causes a painful mark to appear on the subject's body, which burns painfully and with a bright light with proximity to the caster. The burning sensation is powered by a magical link between the two, and does not do real physical damage. A similar, non-painful mark on the caster also changes brightness in proximity to the subject.

Casting time � 2 hours. Lynchpins: 15 minutes - Name of person, Name of person's location in shadow.


BLARNEY KISS � Type: Invasive

Permits the subject to comprehend any languages being spoken around them and lets those listening understand theirs. Lasts indefinitely but is ended by crossing Shadow boundaries.

Casting time: 1 hour. Lynchpins: 10 minutes - Name of person, Name of Shadow, Name of person's location in shadow, Dispel word.


PHANTOM WIND � Type: Summoning

This spell opens a portal between a windy location (typically high atmosphere, although Faetan knows of a few windy shadows if necessary), and manipulates that wind so as to blow directly on Faetan, producing wind effects that are not dependant on the weather of the area Faetan occupies. This is often used for effect, although it might be helpful in maintaining a lower body tempurature in hot climates. This effect, if not dispelled, runs for 12 hours.

Casting time: 90 minutes. Lynchpins: Name of Current Shadow, Dispel Word 5 minutes - Name of Destination Shadow, Name of Destination Shadow Location.


CLINT'S DEPRESSION � Type: Invasive

Sobers a person and removes hangovers.

Casting time � 1 hour. Lynchpins: 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Name of Target.


SCENT � Type: Summoning

This spell affects the air in a given area (specified during casting). When cast, this spell creates a scent specified by the caster at time of casting, at a gradual rate. As soon as the scent is at the desired intensity, the caster may dispel the Scent spell, and the scent will remain at that desired level.

Casting time � 30 minutes. Lynchpins � 5 minutes - Name of Current Shadow, Exact Boundaries of Effect, Description of Scent, Dispel Word.


HAPPY BIRTHDAY - Type: Invasive & Summoning, though only truly Invasive when used vs. pacemakers, cybernetics, etc.

Teleports non-living material away from the target's person. Commonly used to strip a target of his armor, weapons and clothing, effectively putting him in his 'birthday suit' i.e. rendering him nude. An effective way to disarm and/or humiliate opponents, but can be lethal against cybernetic opponents or those who depend on pacemakers.

Casting Time - 1 hour. Lynchpins - 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Name/Description of Target, Target's Current Location in Shadow, Shadow Location Where Non-Living Objects Will Go, Trigger (Optional), Duration (Optional), Dispel Word (Optional).


GOLDEN TRANSFORMATION - Type: Summoning

Learned in Doreldo. This spell alters the touched inanimate object to gold. This may or may not change the general function of an object, dependant on the rules of the current shadow or the original function of the object. This transformation is permanent. Objects with a psyche trait may not be so altered unless a psyche battle is won.

Casting Time - 30 minutes. Lynchpins - 5 minutes - Name of Current Shadow.


GEMSTONE TRANSFORMATION - Type: Summoning

This spell alters the touched stone(s) to that of a specified array of gemstones. This transformation is permanent. Stones with a psyche trait may not be so altered unless a psyche battle is won.

Casting Time - 30 minutes. Lynchpins - 5 minutes - Name of Current Shadow, Array of Possible Gemstone Types.


HEALING TOUCH - Type: Summoning

This spell accelerates natural healing, temporarily raising the Endurance level of the subject by one rank, respective to healing only. Effects last only for duration.

Casting Time - 1 hour. Lynchpins - 10 minutes - Name of Shadow, Name/Description of Subject, Name of Subject's Current Shadow location, Name of Subject's location in Shadow, Duration.


QUIET, YOU - Type: Invasive

Causes a subtle shift in the target's perception, so that every noise he makes sounds increasingly loud to him. The spell thereby encourages the target to fall silent. Can be used swiftly and subtly, silencing Shadow Dweller nuisances without violence. Earaches are probably the worst of it, though hysterical deafness could conceivably result if used for a long enough time. The spell lasts until dispelled via concentrated application of Psyche, counter spell, leaving the Shadow, application of Pattern, Logrus, Trump, Shapeshifting, etc.

WHITE OUT - Type: Summmoning

Floods the immediate area with a blinding white light, making visual determination of targets impossible. Useful as a distraction, or as a precursor to an escape. Lasts up to twelve hours or until dispelled.

Casting Time - 30 minutes. Lynchpins - 5 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Area of Effect, Trigger (Optional), Duration (Optional), Dispel Word (Optional).


DAZZLE - Type: Summoning/Invasive

The caster becomes as clean as if freshly bathed with the scent or perfume of their choice and their hair arranged in the style of their choice. Their clothing becomes as clean and pressed as if freshly washed and ironed or whatever is most appropriate with any minor damage and imperfections removed on the order of repairing loose threads, small tears, or missing buttons.

Casting Time - 30 minutes. Lynchpins - 5 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Scent of Perfume, Hair Style.


FLARE - Type: Summoning

The caster can create pure fire, whether from a flame at the tip of her finger the size of a candle, to a ball of roaring fire.

Casting Time - 1 hour. Lynchpins - 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Energy Level, Dispel Word (Optional), Target (hovering above head or at enemy wizard and so on).


FALCON, PUNCH! - Type: Summoning

Learned from a racer in Duramuar named Captain Falcon, this spell is cast quickly and creates a solid circle of extremely compressed air. Can cause someone to go flying ten feet or so away and possibly fall unconscious for a time.

Casting Time 1 hour. Lynchpins - 10 minutes - Magic of Shadow, Target (optional), Radius of Circle, Part of Body From Which Spell is Cast (Optional, Default is Fist).
