Goku is a born Saiyan from the Planet Vegeta. He was sent to Earth to wipe out the race and use the planet for trade. An old man by the name of Gohan found Goku in his space ship when he was still a baby. Goku was wild and crazy until one day he fell out of a basket, hit his head, and forgot his mission becoming the Goku we know today.
Goku was very powerful in the Dragonball series and won battles against people such as Tien, Piccolo, and Yamcha. In the Dragonball-Z series, he fought Raditz, winning, but losing his life, and began training with King Kai. After that, he was brought back to life by the dragon to fight Nappa, winning, and Vegeta winning, but not killing. Next he fought with the Ginyu Force, winning, and Freeza, winning, but not killing. In the future, Goku will fight with people such as Cell and Buu, but you'll have to watch the show to find out.
