Yamcha is a friend of Goku's and is one of the Z-Warriors. His cat companion Puar is always either with him or worrying about him. Yamcah is especially afraid of women. He was known as the "Desert Bandit" in Dragonball, but became good after meeting Goku. After hearing about the coming of the SAiyans to Earth, he eagerly joins Tien, Chausu, Kreillin, and Yajirobe to train with Kami at Kami's Lookout. When the Saiyans arrive he is killed in a heroic act fighting a Saibaman in place of Krillin. He trains with King Kai, getting stronger. He also trains for when the Androids were coming. After the three year period of training, he is the first one to incounter an Android. He is drained of energy by the Android, but recovers after a Senzu Bean. He doesn't do very much for the rest of the Cell Games but watch.
