My Research Interests
My research topic is an area of pure mathematics called ALGEBRA. I study abstract algebraic structures called ABELIAN GROUPS and MODULES.
A GROUP is a collection or SET of objects or ELEMENTS with a MULTIPLICATION defined on it which is ASSOCIATIVE and such that there exists an IDENTITY element in the set and an INVERSE for each element of the set.
A group is ABELIAN if the multipliction is also COMMUTATIVE.
A MODULE is an Abelian group with a RING OF SCALARS. The addition of a ring of scalars to a class of Abelian groups may change its properties.
My research consists of taking facts or THEOREMS about Abelian groups and finding out whether they remain true for the corresponding modules.
