IDYLLWILD THEATRE
JOCELYN CHRISTIAN
Jocelyn appeared with David Lawrence's Bacchanals during their memorable season of Volpone, The Jew of Malta and Titus Andronicus. She has appeared recently in "The Tribe" and "Revelations" and has recently completed filming one of the leads in Derek Pearson's film "Event 16"

MICHAEL CHARLTON-JONES
Michael, much to his surprise, recently appeared in "The Tribe". A clever actor, singer and musician, he spends a lot of time avoiding doing ANY of these things!!!

SHANE BELLAMY-MANNELL
Shane came recently to Wellington from a provincial town he would rather forget. This is his first appearance with people who might be better than him. He is frightened.

JAMES ORDISH
James has an annoying number of pages on the internet. This is due to his extensive appearances in "The Tribe", "Atlantis High", "William Tell" and various and sundry other television roles. He is 13.

SAM SHORE
Sam has appeared in a number of television roles as well as playing Prince Charming (!) in  the pantomime "Cinderella" in Wellington in 2002. A musician as well as an actor, Sam provides the extensive and complex music for "Shakespeare Confused"!

DAVID WHITE

David agreed to be in "Shakespeare Confused" when he discovered that he would be able to bellow and wave his arms around a lot. He has made a number of television appearances since leaving drama school and has also appeared in several short films.

STUART CURTIS
Stuart has been telling people what to do for a very long time. He has worked with Theatre Corporate in Auckland, Crawfords in Melbourne, Marion Street Theatre and others in Sydney, worked in London and organised tours through parts of the world that were then a good deal more sensible than they appear to be presently. Now a resident of Wellington, he writes and teaches voice and directs.

Idyllwild Theatre is a new company based in Wellington, New Zealand.
Our first production will be "Shakespeare Confused", a load of old 'Hey Nonny', in one (longish) act, to be performed at Bats Theatre during the Fringe Festival in February, 2003.
Six young players are travelling through Elizabethan England desperate for patronage before they are declared "vagabonds and layabouts".
With some scenes stolen from some writer bloke in a London pub, they are convinced their fortunes are made.
O, the pathos....O, the upstaging....O, the unusual use of props.
Shakespeare Confused, written and directed by Stuart Curtis, plays at Bats Theatre, 1. Kent Terrace, Wellington, at 6.30p.m. on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th of February 2003, as part of the Fringe Festival.
Players: Jocelyn Christian, Michael Charlton-Jones, Shane Mannell, James Ordish,
Sam Shore and David White.
