    Ned Kelly a True Story

    By: @Imamferi_cool

A book I enjoyed recently was Ned Kelly a True Story by Christine Lindop, a true story set in Australia and written in 2003. It is based on the true story of Ned Kelly's family. Because of the condition of the rich people that always disturbed the poor people, wanted to take poor's people land and horse, made Ned Kelly be angry an wanted to reach freedom. Then Ned Kelly and his brother also his friends make a gang which is called as Kelly Gang.

There are many well convincing characters such as Ned, the one who made the freedom. But he used another way to get the freedom, by stealing the money from the bank, and give it to the poor peoples. During the gang’s raids, Ned Kelly meets a young Irish girl named Mary Hearn, who already has a young son by Kelly’s stepfather, George King. Kelly falls in love with Mary and makes plans to escape the colony with her after she becomes pregnant with his child.

One of the most memorable moments in the novel was when Ned and the Gang was surrounded by the police in the Glenrowan Inn, the place that Ned Kelly’s Gang gathered the hostages. Because of the all of the hostages run then Glenrowan Inn burned by the polices. All of his friend and his brother died because of shooted by polices and burned. But Ned has escaped, but he already hit by the shooted of police. But he’s still okay because his armour, then he hit twice by the police and affected in his legs. Then he fell down, and all the police catch him. Then two weeks later, he died because of hung up by the police as his mistaken.
