Lobster fishing grounds

The Irish coastline is one of the most rugged and wild coastlines you are about to come across.Especially along the western parts of Ireland where there is little shelter from the Atlantic ocean. But it is good lobster ground.Lobsters like to have safe places where they are not in the open and at risk from attack. They are known to hide under rocks and this is why Irelands coastline is especially apt for fishing. The Irish inshore fishermen have restrictions on them and there is a border where they can't go outside.

Above right you will see a picture of Blacksod Bay, Co. Mayo. This is where I do my fishing and it is a very sheltered bay. Top of Page
