Prayer !

...Prayer changes things, through thick and thin, prayer is in...

...In this study we are going to bring out the results of prayer throughout the Bible...

__________________________________________________

... Mt 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you...

...Doubt and unbelief is a sin, that goes along with fear, that the devil puts on us to confuse us into believing that something can't or won't happen. The Bible tells us to believe and it will happen. That's why Jesus said that if you have the faith, nothing would be impossible.

...Mt 26. But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible...

...All through the Bible we read of people that had faith and prayed. Then they waited for the results of the prayer to happen. If you don't have faith to believe that your prayers will be answered there is no reason to even pray. Because without faith it is impossible to please God.

...Hebrews 11: 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

...I feel that we are going to witness the Lord's return. We have a job to do , and we don't have alot of time to do it. We need to be sober, and be at war on the floor. There are people out in the world that need prayer, and it is our job to stand in the gap for the loved ones that can't do it for their selves. I say can't because the devil has put blinders on them, so they can't see the truth...

...Philippians 4: 6. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God...

...Let your requests be made known to God. Then believe they have been answered. We never know when or where a seed that we plant will begin to blossom and grow. There are times that seeds are planted into children that don't grow for years. But when it gets the water on it it will grow and you can't imagine what will come of it. There is a story in Acts that I want to share with you about the power of prayer. It's a story about Paul and Silas. They were staying in a city called Thyatira, with Lydia. And there was a lady that followed them for days saying you are followers of the most High God. After several days of this Peter turned to her and said. In the name of Jesus come out of her. The demon fled her that very instant. When her noblemen seen what they had done, they laid hold of Paul and Silas, and took them to the magistrates. They were thrown into prison...

...Acts 16:22-40

22. And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23. And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24. Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30. And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
35. And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.
36. And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

37. But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
38. And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
39. And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
40. And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
...I used that illustration so that you could see the power of prayer. And to show you that you never know how a seed might get planted. I know for sure that we are to stand in the gap and pray for those around us. We are supposed to witness and tell people the good news. We are the ones that people will listen to. I believe that everyone has someone that they are supposed to be an example for. I mean there is someone out there that is waiting on you to tell them the good news, that will only listen to you. I believe that.

...You can read about Daniel in the lions den in Daniel 6. I am just going to say that Daniel knew the power of prayer and believed it. He prayed and the lions mouths were shut. Shadrach, Meshach, an Abendego knew the power of prayer. In Daniel 3. They prayed and was thrown into a firey furnace, Nothing happened to them. The only thing that got burnt by the fire was the cords that bound them. Elijah prayed, and the rain quit for three and a half years, He prayed again and the rain started. We have to believe that the prayers that we pray are going to be answered. If you believe it it will come to pass. If you believe it will not, it won't come to pass. The Bible says out of the ubundance of the heart a man speaketh. Will you speak and believe blessings? Or will you speak and believe sickness and cursings? Only you can decide which way you want the faith to be. Belief! Or unbelief ? It's up to you.

Mt 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

...We are supposed to pray for all the saints, it's one of the things that we can do for others.

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 ¶ If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

...Through praying for others we receive healing ourselves. The prayers of all the saints are kept in a place that God keeps listening over and over. I have seen hopeless cases that the doctors have written off and given up on, instantly turned around by the power of prayer. It really is simple. I can't say it enough. The Lord dos not ever see our need. He sees our faith, and then he has to act on our faith. Just take this study and run with it. I dare you to study the power of prayer and expect results. Act on what you learn and start to pray for everything in belief. And I tell you it will change your life. It will also change others lives...
