Kuan Yin/Goddess Poetry
Unconditional Love
In a gown of flowing white,
She is the messenger of unconditional love,
For any person no matter their plight,
A Heavenly gift from above.

Her very life a testimony of true compassion,
Everyday she spent her days helping others overcome their pain,
And when her time on this earthly plain was over,
She came back to do it all again.

For Kuan Yin heard the cries,
Of many others with problems to bear,
She vowed then and there not to journey to Nirvana,
Until all the world could go there with her.

And from that day to this,
Kuan Yin is always near,
Spreading her message of love and compassion,
She became the Compassionate Goddess we all hold so dear.

You need only close your eyes,
To feel her love within you,
If you listen now you can hear her,
She's always with you no matter when you do.

Knowing this information,
Let us all spread her love a little more,
Practise her message of unconditional love,
Open your hearts and open the door..

Her knowledge fills out the four virtues,
Her wisdom suffuses her golden body.
Her necklace is composed of jewels,
Her hair is like dark clouds wonderously coiffured like curling dragons
Her embroidered girdlee sways like a phoenix's wing in flight.
Sea dragon jade buttons,
A gown of pure silk,
Awash with heavenly light;
Eyebrows as if crescent moons,
Eyes like stars.
A radiant jade face of divine joyfulness,
Scarlet lips, a splash of colours.
Her bottle of heavenly dew overflows,
Her willow twig rises from it in full flower.
She delivers from all the eight terrors,
Saves all living beings,
For boundless is her compassion.
She resides in Tai Shan,
She dwells in the Southern Ocean.
She saves all the suffering when their cries reach her,
She never fails to answer their prayers,
Eternally divine and wonderful.
