| These Jack Dempseys range in age from 3 months to 5 months. There are approximately 90 of these guys in this 55 gallon tank. I siphon the bottom of the tank daily and clean the filters every other day. The 55 tank is one of 5 aquariums all connected to a central filtration system. There is a bio-tower suspended over the sump filter that has 300 gph pumped through it. I don't use carbon in this system because with the constant daily water changes of 20% to 25%, carbon is a waste of money. Hopefully these guys will all be headed off to pet stores for the fall stocking. All together I presently have about 300 juvenile Jack Dempseys. |
