1999 Grammy Award Nominees

The results have been announced today (24/2/00) and the winners are highlighted in bold blue. There are a couple of surprises, most notably in the Best New Artist category, where Christina Aguerlia beat Britney Spears to win the coveted trophy and Sting, defeating Ricky Martin for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Male Artiste. Santana's 8 Grammy single night win ties him with Michael Jackson with most number of wins per night.
