Hanna Lake

Only 6-1/2 miles from Quetta is Hanna Lake a delightful picnic spot. The greenish-blue waters of the lake provide a rich contrast to the sandy brown of the hills in the back ground. One can take a boat ride on the lake or promenade on the terraces. Getting there is no problem, as there is a daily bus service. Private taxis can also be hired.

Urak Valley:

From the Hanna Lake is a lovely 7mile drive to another favourite picnic spot, the environs of Urak Tangi The road is lined on either side with wild roses and fruits orchards. Cherries, apricots, grapes apples and peaches of many varieties are grown in this valley.

For a panoramic view of the whole valley, one has only to climb to the nearby hills, which can easily be done in about 10 minutes.
