Melting Art

Materials: Tin foil pie plates; string or wool; leaves, twigs and flowers; water; a freezer

1.   Fill a foil plate with water and place a selection of natural objects in the water.

2.   Cut a length of string to make a long loop and put the ends quite a way into the water and loop it over the side of the plate.

3.   Carefully place in the freezer.

4.   When frozen, remove the foil plate.

5.   Hang up the sculpture in a tree so that it catches the sun.  Leave it there as a piece of melting art.

Don't forget to pick up the pieces of string and dispose of them when they have melted
