Materials: Thin card or thick paper - you need 2 colours; glue

1.    Cut 2 strips, one of each colour, 20cm by 5cm, and glue them together.

2.    When the glue is dry, fold the pieces in half lengthways.

3.    Cut diagonal slits evenly down the whole length of the paper as in Figure 1.  DO NOT CUT RIGHT TO THE EDGE.

4.    Open out carefully and fold alternate strips upwards and over the strip immediately above it and then under the next downward point - see Figure 2.
