Owl Mobile

Materials: Small scraps of stiff white and green card; A4 sheet of stiff brown card; tracing paper; cotton; needle; glue; scissors; coloured pencils

Mobile template1.   Carefully trace the owl's outline onto the brown card and then cut it out.  Cut out the large circle shape in the middle of the body too.  Now trace the owls face shape onto the white card and cut it out.

2.   Using more white card, trace the mouse body and cut it out.  Then cut out the large circle in the middle of the body too.  Draw in the mouse's face.

3.   Trace the acorn onto the green card and cut it out.  Sketch the acorn cup pattern onto the bottom half of the acorn.

4.   Glue the owl's face onto the owl and draw in the eyes.  Then add the feathers to the body.

5.   Pierce the top of the owl's head and make a second hole under its beak.   Pierce the mouse's body once again near the top and again just above the circular hole.  Finally, make a small hole in the top of the acorn.

6.   Join all the pieces together as shown in the picture, using different lengths of cotton.
