| We are Rick and Janet, childhood sweethearts, married in 1973. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary on October 27, 2003! God has blessed us with 12 children, and 5 (so far!) terrific grandsons and two beautiful wee granddaughters! We live in the country on a 3 acre lot, with a menagerie of creatures for the children to enjoy! We really are enjoying our grandchildren! Rick is the local computer guy, having his own computer business since 1990. We have homeschooled our children since 1983, and plan to continue until our youngest graduates in 2016! That is thirty-three years of homeschooling before I can retire! :) I recently stepped down from the board of OCHEC, the Ontario Christian Home Educators' Connection, which is a non-profit, volunteer organization aimed at serving home educators. I am an enthusiastic supporter of OCHEC! I believe in God the Father, Maker of Heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, who was crucified to redeem me from my sins, and in the Holy Spirit, who guides and comforts me in my daily walk with God. I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and has every answer for every need of life. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16 Latin is one of my special interests, and the children and I are enjoying an online group studying Wheelock's Latin together. We are active in opposing the excessive interference in family life by the Children's Aid Society. One of the blessings in my life has been my involvement in an online group of women who are dedicated to serving the Lord and their husbands and families in a godly manner. Our family attends Berean Covenant Church in Seaforth, Ontario, which is a church plant of Grace Trinity Community Church in Guelph. Rick and I and our two oldest sons attend the Spurgeon Study Centre, Guelph, Ontario, where we are currently taking courses in Old Testament Biblical Theology and Systematics III.
