A humorous tribute to hard-workin' crews

In our first 3 seasons the family did all the work on the car. Anyone who has ever been involved in racing knows how much labor that can be. Those first years were a lot of fun. We built the cars in our garage, we serviced and setup the car on raceday, we hauled the car to the track, we did whatever needed to be done to the car at the track, we hauled the car home, fixed any damage, then started the whole process over for the next weekend. Back then we raced both Friday and Saturday nights.
We were lucky to meet Jim Meyer in 1995, and in '96 he took over as crew chief. He and his sons Jimmy (a.k.a. "Bubba") and Brian did an enormous amount of work to help us every week, all summer long. Of course we have many other friends who lend a hand from time to time, but no one has been there for us like the Meyer Family!
Now our track races only Saturdays, but it still takes a lot of sweat and blood to keep the car in shape. For the upcoming season it's back to the family gig, but we hope to be utilizing the talents of some of our friends from time to time.
